When the administration first rammed through the Patriot Act in the fervor of fear they themselves inflamed after 9/11, all they did was roll out legislation they had ALREADY drafted as part of their planned dream agenda.
Making some of those provisions temporary was a way of greasing what were legitimate concerns that more harm would come from these measures in abuse of our democracy than any good in protection from outside threats. But now we learn they have already gone hog wild in issuing 30,000 demand letters for information on regular, law abiding citizens.
